Awareness sessions organised by HI

Humanity & Inclusion (HI)’s teams and the disability self-help group visited the most isolated families in the Umpiem Mai refugee camp in Thailand to give them some information on Covid-19 and how to protect themselves from it.

Ma Yin Maung was initially very worried about the epidemic:

"I didn't even dare to leave my home to buy food. I was scared and couldn't get straightforward information on it,"

she says.

The information she received from HI’s teams reassured her immediately. The organisation also gave her a hygiene kit with two masks, some soap, and leaflets about the epidemic.

“After HI's information session, I felt confident enough to walk around the camp wearing a mask and buy the items I need every day. HI also gave me a prevention kit, which is extremely useful for me and my family,"

she adds.
