Humanity & Inclusion, in partnership with IFI, is assisting people affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Sulawesi province in Indonesia on 28th September.

The impact of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Indonesia continues to be felt. Liquefaction (the process of loose soil acting like a liquid during an earthquake) has engulfed entire villages, leaving more than 10,000 people injured and 800 missing.

A powerful earthquake followed by a tsunami struck the centre of the Indonesian region of Sulawesi on 28th September, killing more than 1,400 people and injuring more than 2,500. Humanity & Inclusion, which has sent a support team of experts to Indonesia, is coordinating its response with local organisations.

A tsunami struck the centre of the Indonesian region of Sulawesi a few days ago, killing more than 1,200 people. Following the tsunami that struck the centre of the Sulawesi region of Indonesia a few days ago, killing more than 800 people, HI is mobilising its teams to identify the needs of victims. With the support of local partners, the organisation will carry out an assessment in Sulawesi.

Indonesia earthquake: Handicap International assessing needs in worst-affected areas 07/12/16

More than 90 people were killed and 270 injured after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia's Aceh province on Wednesday 7th December. Already present in the country, Handicap International is assessing the needs of those affected in preparation for a possible emergency response.
