Every day, our teams support the most vulnerable people - providing artificial limbs to amputees, caring for injured people in the aftermath of a natural disaster, protecting civilians at risk of landmines and unexploded bombs, and including disabled children in education.
But we couldn't do it without you. It is only thanks to the generous support of our donors that our teams can carry on delivering truly amazing work and helping inspiring individuals. That's why your donation is so important and so gratefully received.
Your donation can make a difference:
Your donation means we can act fast.
Thanks to the generosity of people like you donating to support our work worldwide, we don't always need to launch an appeal when a humanitarian emergency is in the news. Instead, our teams around the world can act fast thanks as your donations give them valuable flexibility to respond as needs arise.

In 2015, Shaista's home in Kunduz, Afghanistan, was hit by a bomb. She survived, but doctors had to amputate her leg, facing overwhelming challenges since then.
When our teams found out about her situation, they started doing whatever they could to help. At the time, Shaista was using a prosthesis and elbow crutches to walk. But her prosthesis was causing her a lot of pain and discomfort. Our teams have been able to provide her with physiotherapy and a properly adjusted prosthesis, helping her regain independence and confidence. Tasks she once struggled with, like walking or bathing, are now possible, and she is beginning to smile again!
Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, we are not just providing temporary solutions. We are building a fully equipped prosthetics and rehabilitation centre right in Kunduz, where children like Shaista can continue to receive regular prosthesis adjustments and essential physiotherapy. They will finally get the care and support they so desperately need.
